ED Overflow & Triage Remodel
PROJECT OVERVIEW
This project consisted of complete remodels of the existing Emergency Department, Registration, Triage and adjacent Radiographic Room in a fully operational hospital. The first phase of the project consisted of converting an existing security storage room into a temporary registration area for the emergency department (ED). The second phase encompassed the shut down and renovation of the entire overflow and triage area. During the second phase, we were required to install a new exhaust fan on the roof of the hospital, new medical gas in the triage rooms, new lighting and electrical panels, casework, bullet resistant glass and new finishes throughout. The new space features five new triage rooms, an enlarged registration area, new nurses station, lab equipment, and soiled utility room, waiting room and security rooms.
